Terms for share links
Recording and editing happen entirely on your machine and need no agreement. These terms apply only when you upload a recording to a share server to create a link.
What you may upload
Only recordings you have the right to share. You are responsible for their contents, including anything a screen recording captured that you did not intend — another application's window, a second monitor, someone else's information. Do not upload material that is unlawful, that infringes someone's rights, or that you were not permitted to capture.
What the server does with it
- A recording is stored for a retention window — 30 days by default — and then deleted automatically.
- A share link is a public, unguessable URL. Anyone holding it can view the recording; treat the link as the access control it is.
- The person who created a recording can delete it at any time with their owner token.
- An anonymous view count is recorded. No viewer accounts, logins, or personal records exist.
- Uploads are limited to the three bundle files — video, event trace, metadata — validated on upload and on read. A share server is not general file hosting.
Reports and takedown
Anyone viewing a share page can report it. An operator may remove a reported recording, and may remove any recording that breaks these terms. On a hosted instance, the operator's contact and takedown process are stated by that operator.
No warranty
A share server is provided as is, with no warranty. Retention means links are temporary by design; keep your own copy of anything you need. The software is open source, and a self-hosted operator sets their own additional terms.
